Whitewash is simply a mixture of lime and water that was painted on houses, barns and outbuildings as a cheap and easy way to make them look attractive and clean, while providing an antibacterial finish that was resistant to mold, mildew, and weathering.

My name is Kris and my husband is Curtis. I'm a 50 something year old retired preschool school teacher and my husband is a lawyer. We have always LOVED home improvement. It's actually what we do for fun! Recently we bought a 1911 bungalow with a 2006 addition on 2.5 acres. It has an incredible barn but also an incredible amount of work to be done. We hope you'll join us on this new adventure.
